The A380 is a pretty big bird - but the space and service were good. Even though both dinner and breakfast were delayed by turbulence. The 12 1/2 hour flight passed with the in-flight entertainment and a few hours of sleep. Since we were almost the last to disembark, we were allowed to take a look at the business class upon request and then try out the seats in the suite.
We had a five-hour layover in Singapore. But the airport is big and has a lot to offer. Our first stop was the food court, so that our children, who hadn't had enough of the airplane food, didn't have to starve. Then we looked at the butterfly garden and the sunflower field. Both are outside the air-conditioned area with an estimated 30° and 90% humidity, which made it quite exhausting.
Unfortunately, we were not able to visit the "jewel" with the large waterfall, as we would have had to leave the security area and go through immigration. However, the Skytrain went through, so we were at least able to take a look at it.
Our flight to Brisbane took off punctually at 9:30 p.m. Our second night on the plane began...
