Kinsale, Atlantic Ocean & Beergarden

Good morning and a wonderful start to the new week, dear friends!

I want to show you where I was on Saturday:

The town of Kinsale is located in a bay directly by the sea, the Celtic Sea and the North Atlantic. The photo shows you the view you have when you walk along the Charles Fort Walk. Charles Fort is a former occupation station, which is now a popular sight in Kinsale. I didn't go inside, but I took photos of the castle from the outside.

Even though I am aware that the following pictures all look quite similar, I still want to share them with you. Unfortunately, photos cannot convey feelings or impressions 100%, but believe me, to stand there was overwhelming, especially if you only know the Mediterranean Sea otherwise :)

In addition, this landscape exactly corresponds to what I imagined Ireland to be like. As much as I like the city of Cork, you might expect something else from Ireland, the image you have in mind is more of the wide landscape, green meadows and hills. I love nature and everything that is green, so I was overjoyed to get out of the city on Saturday. Already on the way from Cork to Kinsale, I was fascinated by the landscape, but I definitely felt 'Irish' in Charles Fort.

The Irish herd of cows also fits exactly into the image I have of Ireland :)

Back 'home' it started pouring rain again. Rain is normal for us, but such extreme downpours are rather the exception. However, a downpour also has something good, because the sun comes out right after and such pictures can be taken:

The evening ended with a visit to the beer garden and a walk through the nighttime Cork.

That's it for now with the pictures. I hope you like what you see. Unfortunately, I have to go again now, my economics class is about to start. After all, I'm not (only) here for fun ;)

Many greetings and love from Cork

xxx Danni
