Today we went on another "barefoot adventure". But today it was the beach side.

We set off shortly after breakfast to explore the end of the beach. A few days ago, Kadek took us to a place where there was a black sand beach. Unfortunately, it was already very dark at that time, so we couldn't see much. He told us that some of his guests jog along the beach. Well, we didn't have to jog, but it would be nice to take a longer walk.

We put on our barefoot shoes and started walking. It was wonderful. The sun was shining, the waves were crashing, and the stones made sounds as the water receded from them. Some divers came out of the water, while others went in. It didn't take long, about half an hour, when we came across the Stone & Bakery Café. We had always seen a sign from the street, but there were construction works on the street side, so we couldn't really pass through there. So we decided to go to the café and happily greeted the owner. She was very nice and open-minded towards us. She gave us her menu, and we chose something to drink. Among other things, we discovered a minestrone soup and a banana cake that we wanted to have for lunch.

We decided to come back here on our way back and then we set off again. Walking along the beach didn't bother us at all. There were some areas where it was quite challenging to walk because piles of stones didn't allow for a steady stride. We balanced ourselves with rounded feet 🤣. But now it was not a problem. Everything was smooth and easy to walk on. We arrived at the restaurant "Green Lemon", where we had eaten lobster a few days ago. Older men sitting on a hill watched us as we climbed up the makeshift staircase. They wished us good morning and asked us where we were going. We briefly told them, and then we continued. We arrived at a place where we had never been before. There were also some warungs and guest rooms or hotels here. It was beautiful here. Full of jagungs, but no stones. We walked for about 20 minutes until we reached our destination. In the meantime, we had to climb over stones and also encountered a mother and child crab. The mother attacked Rainer's foot when he tried to send her into the water with his foot. Mother crab didn't find it funny at all, gathered all her courage, and attacked Rainer's foot. But then she quickly ran sideways as fast as she came.

As we walked along the path and saw all the stones, I had the idea of ​​building a stone signpost. Our stone pile looked beautiful. When I took photos of it, I said to Rainer, "It almost looks like a duck 🤣. It just needs the eyes." It was really a beautiful and relaxing walk, and after a short break, we started back.

This time we wanted to know how long it took to walk from the end of the beach to the Bakery Café. It was 40 minutes. Although it must be said that we walked quite comfortably. After all, we were on vacation. The owner was happy to see us again and waved at us. We ordered the selected dishes from the morning and waited to see what would come. Rainer got a slightly warm banana cake that wasn't dry at all. It was very moist, and Rainer drank a delicious warm tea with it. It's surprising how some warm drinks can be almost refreshing here. I got my minestrone soup, which had a very intense flavor. We were completely satisfied and enjoyed the sea and the moment.

After we paid, we headed back home. I actually wanted to go to the pharmacy to buy new gauze for my calf. But unexpectedly, Ngurah drove by with his car, invited us, and brought us back to our hotel.

In the morning, I had spoken to Kadek and he suggested that we go to his cousin's hotel to watch a wonderful sunset. Ngurah told us that he would take us there today. We all had fun and were very excited. He is really a very nice guy.

Punctually at 5:30 p.m., Ngurah picked us up and drove us to the hotel. That hotel was amazing. Although we saw more of the outdoor terraces than the interior. It had different levels with different views. There was even an infinity pool on one level, sensational. We sat on the highest level to get the best view, of course. But if I'm being completely honest, you could admire the beautiful sunset from anywhere. It was a fantastic spectacle. I have seen many sunsets in my life, just like everyone else, but for me, it always feels like the first time. I can never get enough of these colors in the sky. It was once again a dream. Unfortunately, the whole process here in Bali only lasts half an hour. Then it's dark, pitch dark even 🤣. In Bali, the sun actually rises at 6:30 a.m. and sets at 6:30 p.m. After we had our dinner, Ngurah took us back to the hotel. We sat there for a while and then went to bed. In the neighboring bar 'Barracuda', there was still a live band playing rock music.

We have spent many days here in Bali, and so far it has never been boring, and every day has been unique.
