Good morning, you fun-loving people on the Eurasian continent. It is my pleasure to present you with 🐢 again today. But first, let me explain briefly.
Cairns will be our department for Riddler. A reliable car will accompany new "Down Under" travelers. We're flying ✈️ to Brisbane. After seeing the pictures from above, we were very interested in the Outer Reef. So we looked for the suitable adventure company for a day. At 8 a.m., we went to the pier. Safety numbers helped the crew keep track of people and the respective program sequences.
There were different options for diving courses, trial diving, professional diving, and snorkeling trips. We belonged to the latter. The crew team of 15 people + 1 captain spread good vibes from the beginning. And that was a good thing. After all, it's "Wet Season" and no one wanted to depart from the port in the rain. A nearly 2-hour drive to the Outer Reef left the rain 🌧 on the coast. It was cloudy out there. We were equipped with wetsuits, 🤿 snorkels including masks and fins. And No. 35-36 "dive into the deep blue water" was released on the 🦈 sharks. Out here, it was possible to encounter the whitetip reef sharks, which grow to 1-2 meters in size. That was our plan 😉☝🏼. And indeed, we could see some of them around us. But the highlight was the turtle and the colorful fish. The sun wasn't shining, so we couldn't explore the entire reef as wonderfully as the other two days in Airlie Beach. But we thoroughly enjoyed it and can savor our last night with Riddler with great memories...

The last night in the rooftop tent was over. Surprisingly, it stayed dry. The backpacks were packed as well as possible. The car was cleaned a bit and refueled. Then it went very quickly. Although we had an appointment at 4 p.m., the car was kindly taken from us without any problems, and they thanked us for cleaning it so thoroughly 💦🎉🚙🚿🧽.
We said goodbye, and then the next adventure began. The way to the airport. Although it was only about 3km long, there was a lot to carry, and the temperatures exhausted us. The ordered taxi unfortunately didn't come, so we went: 'hitchhiking through the galaxy' 🤣. After only 10 !!!!! cars, a small white Toyota stopped and actually picked us up. HERO OF THE DAY 🏅, and his name was ROSS. We got in, and the car was loaded to the top. During the 5-minute drive, we got into a conversation and found it very nice and pleasant. We said thank you a thousand times! He was flying to Melbourne, and we were going to Brisbane. We had already taken care of a taxi in Brisbane 😎.
Almost at the same time as the backpacks at the baggage carousel, we saw two familiar faces frantically searching - Papa L. & Mama B. 🤯👀👀. They were visibly relieved when they saw us, and we celebrated the reunion after almost 4 months. The last ones who saw us, the first ones to see us again. After that, there was a lot of thinking 💭🗨🗯💬💭🗨💬🗯
... and the night ended late.
