From Schenklengsfeld to Bad Neustadt

After only getting a small taste yesterday, the Rhön really hit us today. We had some pretty steep climbs, which especially hurt when riding on an unpaved road. For the first time, we had to get off the bike and push it for a short distance. The gusty east wind, which we had in our faces at times, didn't help either. In the afternoon, we headed more in a southern direction, mostly through river valleys, sometimes on converted former railway tracks, so we still made good progress and finally arrived in Bad Neustadt an der Saale after a decent 97 km at the Fränkischer Hof, where we could settle into our accommodation.
