After a wonderful time on the Iberian Peninsula, we are back in France. We immediately headed for the coast. We parked our command center near the beach, where we actually wanted to spend the night. We took a walk on the beach among old concrete bunkers. They are not beautiful, but the colorful graffiti has turned them into real works of art, which looks very interesting. Then we explored the city and made ourselves comfortable in the bus. Then a young woman knocked excitedly on our bus window. She told us that her bus was broken into while she and her boyfriend were surfing. Car keys, mobile phone, and wallet, everything was gone. They thought maybe we had noticed something unusual. What a bummer... we didn't notice anything and we were right next to it. We felt really sorry for them. We didn't feel comfortable at that location anymore and looked for another place to spend the night at dusk. Not that easy, the French almost everywhere forbid wild camping. We finally found a place on a forest parking lot. At 8 o'clock in the morning, while we were still in bed, the police knocked. They kindly pointed out to us that overnight stays in the forest are generally prohibited. But now we could stay because it was daylight again. We were very glad that we didn't have to pay a fine.
The next afternoon, we took a walk in Vieux Boucau les bains and then enjoyed lunch.
