Today we went to Tsitsikamma National Park to go hiking 🥾 We really wanted to see the suspension bridges. With the kids in tow (literally), we headed to the suspension bridges. Since the trail wasn't supposed to be long, we thought we could easily handle it 😅 Maybe even Anni could manage the trail. But of course, Anni didn't walk at all, and the extra weight from the kids and the many stairs made it quite challenging for us 😰 The path followed a wooden walkway along the cliffs, alternating between dense forest and rugged rocks. Happily and with a bright red face, we reached our destination 💪🏼 And the journey was more than worth it 🤩 The three bridges that span the Storms River mouth into the Indian Ocean were very impressive. The longest bridge is 77 meters long. There were very few people around, so we could almost enjoy this view of the rough nature all by ourselves 🌊🪨🌳 We spent at least an hour on the bridges and around them because we liked it so much 🤩 When we arrived at the car, we treated ourselves to some ice cream and refreshing drinks. We watched the waves crashing against the rocks. On the way back, we saw a herd of baboons 🐒 In the evening, we just wanted to grab a quick bite to eat, so we went back to "Market off Main," which consists of many small stalls with different food options. We had some Bao's there. It was super delicious 😋
