In the morning we left the Mara Serena Safari Lodge, which we had grown fond of.
From Serena Air Strip a plane took us to Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
We didn't stay there long, but took a Twin Otter, which was piloted by two dark-skinned female pilots. After a pleasant flight and a perfect landing, we found ourselves at Tropic Air Nanyuki Airport.
After making sure that our luggage had survived the flight, we drove through poor villages in four off-road vehicles
Into the Ol Pejeta Nature Reserve and on to Sweetwaters Serena Camp.
During lunch we received the keys to our comfortably furnished tents, which we were not able to admire for long because the next safari began at 4 p.m. This also took us to Equator Point.
After many animal sightings and dinner, a surprise was waiting for us in our tents: our beds had been filled with two hot water bottles each. Since it had become quite cold by now, we appreciated the pre-heated beds.
