Today was a very relaxing day without a big hike 😉
However, the weather wasn't that nice, but Tasmania is known for bad weather anyway... So I was already very lucky!
In the morning, we went to a park in Launceston where there were wild kangaroos... But I didn't take any photos. I have already seen soooo many kangaroos 😜
In the afternoon, we went to Bay of Fires. A beautiful beach with clear water and huge rocks on the shore. It was sooo impressive! But it was too cold for me to swim 🙈😅
After that, we went to a small wildlife park... Or whatever you call it. It wasn't a zoo, that's for sure. Only animals native to Tasmania lived there, some of which wouldn't have survived without human help because they were injured or had lost their mothers. Finally, I got to see a Tasmanian devil! Even several of them 😬 and they were awake! And there was also a baby wombat being raised by the caretaker. It was sooo cute! And I even saw an echidna! I have no idea what this animal is called in German... It looks like a hedgehog, but it has a beak 🤔
After that, we went to our last accommodation of the guided tour. In the town, we could explore some things on our own, and I did that with another traveler. We went to the beach again and watched the waves crash on the rocks. The highlight of the evening was a seal that was playing around in the harbor of the small town and let us film it for a very long time. In the end, half of our group was at the harbor watching it 👍
