Continuing to the west coast for swimming and to meet relatives. To get from Yangon to Tandwe, you can take an adventurous, physically demanding, and 10-hour long taxi ride, or simply fly. I opted for the taxi ride 😉
The flight was pleasant and the food surprisingly good!
After only 45 minutes in the air, we floated, coming from the west, above the 'Bay of Bengal' for landing.
The pilot cleanly landed the plane, taxied, and...turned around on the runway. There were no taxiways! Okay, with a frequency of two airplanes per day, that would probably be exaggerated. Passing by the windsock, or what was left of it, we headed to the 'Parking Area' in front of the 'Terminal'.
In the 'Departure Hall', one entrance is only two or three suitcase lengths away from the other.
The suitcases are lovingly transported by hand on a cart and personally handed over. Nothing can get lost on the conveyor belt. 👍
A cool introduction to the upcoming days at the beach where everything continued to be uncomplicated!
After a short taxi ride, we went straight into the water and started digging😁
