Today we had to get up early to make our way to the Blue Mountains. It took us about 3 hours by bus and train.
We then headed towards Wentworth Falls. The trail was 2.4 km long, one way. The path led through dense green forest, past small waterfalls and streams. We encountered many lizards along the way.
After an hour of leisurely hiking, we reached the first lookout point, where we had a gigantic view of the mountains and could look down into the deep valley. When we looked down, we could already see the steep stairs leading down to the waterfall. On the lookout platform, we saw some people who were totally out of breath, but we didn't think much of it and just wondered.
We made our way down the steep stairs. Once we reached the bottom, we had a great view of the waterfall and took a break. After some time, we made our way back up and then we knew why people were so out of breath! It was so strenuous! But it was worth it.
We had to walk the whole way back and drive home.
When we arrived home, we just cooked ourselves some food and collapsed into bed...
