Hello homeland - Hello world...

AIDAbella is now my home for the next 6 months. Exciting destinations like Norway & the Baltic Sea, a transatlantic journey from Kiel to Bangkok, and the winter season in Asia await me. The idea of escaping winter in Germany was fantastic.

Of course, my decision to embark on a new adventure not only brought positive expectations... I also had to say goodbye to many

GOODBYE 1 - From 7 years at Versicherungskammer Bayern...

Apprenticeship, studies, and two great years in the Sparkassenvertrieb. THANK YOU for EVERYTHING. It was a wonderful time, I learned a lot, and met great people.

GOODBYE 3: Family

The hardest goodbye was saying goodbye to Mom and Dad, my brother and my cat. 6 months without personal contact (OK, except for the visits on board :-) ).

THANK YOU for being there. THANK YOU for this amazing family. For the bond, the love & support.

It's great to have a family that accompanies your journey and supports you to the max. Always ready to listen and especially a family that carries your crazy ideas with you.

So my parents brought me to the train, which took me to Kiel. It was a feeling of joy but also one of the saddest and most emotional moments when the train door closed and all I could do was wave goodbye to my parents. At that moment, we knew that our next meeting will take a while.

Almost 7 hours later, with lots of thoughts and emotions, you finally arrive in Kiel. Now it's time to check in at the hotel and wait until the adventure AIDA can start at 9 o'clock the next day...
