In the morning, we splash around once more in the crystal-clear waters of the Karst river Mreznica. This wonderful river landscape was a very pleasant surprise that we didn't expect.
The drive through northern Croatia teaches us how lush nature is here. The leaves of the trees already show signs of having been battered by the summer heat, but the nature here leaves a very healthy overall impression.
The highway takes us quickly to the south.
At the tributary to the 'Novigradsko more', we take a break beneath a bungee jumping bridge and cool off in the deep blue sea water at an air temperature of 30 degrees.
We continue on the highway. The stretch above Makarska offers a lot for the eyes.
The border crossing into Bosnia and Herzegovina takes place in a small village, on the way to the Kravica waterfalls. The campsite there is wonderfully located right by the river just below the falls. However, the last few hundred meters of the approach aren't suitable for large vehicles. Here we finally jump into the water for the third time. However, the water here is noticeably fresher!
