Surfers Paradise Noosa

Diterbitkan: 04.08.2018

On the morning of 22.06., after wild camping, we went to the harbor of Noosa Heads. We had breakfast in the sun on a meadow. Afterwards, we briefly explored the surrounding area and the first part of the beach in Noosa.

Then we drove to the surfer beaches of Noosa by car. Unfortunately, we weren't the only ones with this plan. It was very difficult to find a parking space nearby, but after a few rounds around the block, we found one. We strolled along the beaches until late afternoon and watched the numerous surfers. Unfortunately, there were no dolphins or koalas to see, although at least Dolphin Point promised that.

We spent the evening at a free campsite directly on the highway - Jowarra Park Area. Since we were a bit late, we were lucky to find a pitch. The parking lot was almost bursting with backpackers.

On 23.06., we drove to Ewen Maddock Dam for breakfast and then walked along the lake. Shortly before we left, many cyclists arrived at the parking lot - we had already wondered where all the people were with the numerous cars in the parking lot.

We continued to a nice, warm and free shower at a sports field nearby. It was funny to hear joyful sounds from the other shower stalls as well - a warm shower is a highlight for a backpacker. :D

The next stop was the Glass House Mountains Tourist Info. Here we got tips for our afternoon trip and also lunch thanks to the BBQ area. In the afternoon, we drove to a viewpoint and enjoyed a 180° panoramic view of the Glass House Mountain National Park - in the end, just a handful of high mountains.

We spent the night about 100km before Brisbane at the campsite Pine Rivers/ Lawnton Showgrounds. There was electricity and to Kenny's delight probably a choir rehearsal - not exactly his taste in music, maybe the notes weren't always hit quite right.. :D
