Hello, this morning we left our accommodation at the Sea of Galilee very early and made our way to Haifa on the Mediterranean coast. It is said in Israel that Haifa is the city of work while Tel Aviv is for celebration and Jerusalem is for prayer. We drove through the German Quarter, took photos of the Bahai Temple from above, and continued on to Mount Carmel, the "vineyard of God" which is now a national park, and then to the Roman and Crusader city of Caesarea. Afterwards, we took a city tour in Tel Aviv with a final visit to Jaffa. The highlight of our trip is Jerusalem. We arrived at our hotel around 7:30 PM. The view of the city is breathtaking. I will post a picture today. The view is directly from the hotel to the Dome of the Rock. Immediately after sunset, calls to prayer were made in every corner of the city at a volume that is hard to imagine. Tomorrow, I will share more about this wonderful city that is over 800 meters above sea level. It is not as warm here as it is in other parts of the country. Tomorrow will be a full day of sightseeing. Until tomorrow.
