Day 12 (Edinburgh)

Our breakfast this time was light as usual, consisting of yogurt or Skyr, because from this day on we had bagels for breakfast.

Afterwards, we went to the Scottish National Museum, where we were most interested in the zoology department. The mineralogy department and the Asian department were also interesting, although the museum had a lot to offer.

Then we made our way to the castle, where we had booked online tickets. On the way there, I quickly grabbed some karaage to eat.

When we arrived at the castle, we visited quite a lot, but unfortunately took hardly any pictures. One of the highlights, however, were the Crown Jewels, which we were able to see briefly.

Since we still had time afterwards, we wanted to go to the royal garden, which was a 30-minute walk away. However, when we arrived, we unfortunately found out that not only the British, but also the Scots like to close their parks in the evening. Disappointed, we returned to the hostel and had delicious burgers for dinner.
