Before breakfast: Juli almost fell out of bed - I was able to catch her just in time... what a scare. Jette had to unpack and play with her 75-piece Playmobil set... After breakfast, it was time to pack all the luggage back into the car and continue our journey. Since the driving distance shouldn't be too long, we decided to make a detour to Cadolzburg. We wanted to visit the castle there, but unfortunately it was closed due to construction :-( So we took a walk around the castle and then climbed up the observation tower, also known as "Bleistift" ("pencil"). From there, we had a good view of the town and the castle. After a little picnic at the bottom of the tower, we continued on our way. The journey took longer than expected, as we encountered two traffic jams and had to take a break at a rest stop. During the drive, Jette came up with the idea of playing with her Playmobil, and somehow it worked ;-) After that, it wasn't far anymore and we reached Schliersee. In the background, you could already see/feel the mountains - unfortunately, the weather was not so great again, which also obscured the view. The houses surprised us with beautiful wooden decorations - you can tell that we have arrived in the heart of Bavaria. Our hotel, "Gasthaus Hotel Hubertus," is also very beautiful, and to our surprise, the booked triple room number 19 is very spacious and offers plenty of space. So now we could also set up the baby cot and hopefully have our bed to ourselves at least some of the time at night ;-) In the evening, we went to the restaurant "Lehmanns Neuhauser Stuben," where the service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Tine had 1/2 RÖSCHE BAUERNENTE with apple blue cabbage, potato dumplings, and buttered breadcrumbs - yum yum :-) On the way back, there was a heavy rain shower that made us all wet, despite our rain gear... hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow...
