A sunny morning greets us. After breakfast we set off hiking. It was slightly below zero during the night and the first part of the path is in the shade. That makes us run faster. The sun rises ever higher and soon reaches us and our companions (three dogs). Now it's really fun. We go to the Shkhara glacier at an altitude of 2500 m. First on a moderately uphill road, then a rocky path with a decent incline. We get to the glacier around 12 p.m., take a short break and then head back. When we arrive at the road we meet an Israeli couple. We stop at the coffee shop and have lunch. We then take a taxi to Ushguli. We stroll through the town a bit and sit in the afternoon sun. Then the cold drives us inside. The only heat is provided by the shower, as the dining room for dinner is not heated either.
