We pack up in a relaxed manner, stop briefly at the supermarket to stock up on slices of pizza and take the ferry back to Palau. We have breakfast on the first beach we see shortly before we start our journey west.
Our first stop is at Capo Testa, there is supposed to be some kind of lunar landscape here somewhere. We definitely park in the no-parking area and find our way through a network of narrow trails. Kind of scary, but we'll definitely be rewarded. The path along the coast goes through huge granite boulders, you feel like you are in another world. We come out on a beach at the end of the Valle de Luna and walk through the actual valley back towards the parking lot. The huge boulders are impressive and really beautiful.
And it's not just the landscape that impresses us, Jan and Steffi also stumble upon our new friend: the mini turtle Gianmarco. After we're done getting to know him and cuddling, we release him back into the safety of the bushes.
Afterwards we continue via the Decathlon in Sassari to Alghero. Here we set up camp at the La Mariposa campsite before ending the evening with antipasti and good red wine.
