Arrowtown and Wanaka were two small towns where we spent a day each.
In Arrowtown, there was a free gin tasting and a free cheese tasting, which we of course took advantage of😍
Otherwise, it was again a small town with a few restaurants and shops that we walked through, got some ice cream with homemade waffles, visited Chinatown (a neighborhood where a few Chinese people migrated to in the past to dig for gold), and went on a small hike that was 7km uphill🙄💪
In Wanaka, we looked at the Puzzling World from the outside because the admission fee was too expensive for us, and otherwise, we were again in cafes and bars. For lunch, we sat by a lake and had salad, and in the evening, we went to a bar where there was a veggie burger and where we watched Australian football. A completely unknown sport to us, but in the end, we were cheering along😅
