After about 1 hour boat ride, we reached Pamilacan. The island is even smaller than expected. There is actually only a small village with more fighting cocks than residents.
We were warmly welcomed there and suddenly had full board. Mary, the owner, and her sisters made sure that we were not missing anything in their family business. For breakfast, we were spoiled with pancakes, at lunchtime we had fish, and in the evening, shrimp were served directly on the beach by a campfire.
Activities were also reduced to a minimum with chilling on the beach and snorkeling. We are also running out of books slowly because on an island that only has electricity until midnight, you cannot expect internet.
In the more tourist-oriented Panglao, our next destination, we should have better options. From there, we will even go for a dive until we slowly say goodbye to the Philippines.
Conclusion: Beautiful small lonely islands can be found in the Philippines.
