At 9:30 in the morning, we made our way through the old town towards the São Francisco Church. In our eye-catching blue dresses and elegant suits, we naturally attracted a lot of curious looks - when do 60 young people ever walk through the old town of Salvador in a long line and in such clothes? It was definitely a fun experience for us too! After a short rehearsal, our concert began. First, we sang a small part, then our Brazilian partner choir and the small orchestra joined us and we sang Vivaldi's 'Gloria' in the fully packed church. It was probably the most challenging concert we had to handle here in Brazil, as the tropical climate in the church took its toll on everyone. However, our perseverance was rewarded with standing ovations from the audience. Afterwards, we had a photo shoot in the wonderfully sunny courtyard of the church, but we were very glad when we could finally slip out of the quite thick concert clothing! We were then able to spend the rest of Sunday afternoon exploring the city, visiting delicious restaurants, or simply relaxing in the shade of our pousada. In the evening, we all went to a restaurant together again and enjoyed some pasta! Then the day was already over and we settled into our well-air-conditioned rooms!
