Day 23

The departure from the sleeping place was delayed as long as possible today, as it was raining quite heavily. But by half past 7 it was over and the first task of the day could be started: using Smidge. In fact, the creatures in the awning then refrained from further meals. Unfortunately, my mosquito nets on the side windows are not fine enough to keep them all out. Nevertheless, a lot of them failed to enter the car.

We used the nice weather for a walk along the river towards the dam. It was a beautiful path along the wild river and at the same time we could watch the rafters who had dared to venture into the river.

However, the desire to try it ourselves decreased significantly after seeing one that didn't quite make it out of a small waterfall (it only managed to get out with its head down) and then another one sitting on the ground being supplied with oxygen on the way back.

Nevertheless, the path was beautiful, 1.5 hours there and 30 minutes back, because of the many beautiful places.

I then hopped on my bike to climb some hills and afterwards we made a little fire.

There was even a mini air show. While walking, a presumably (or rather possibly) Spitfire flew very low over us and while cycling, a more modern flying device. It can be seen in one of the photos.

Charging works again, so everything is fine today. Unfortunately, it's going to rain more tomorrow.
