1 year later ...

Exactly one year ago, I started. On February 28, 2022, the journey with the motorhome through South-West Europe began. The route along the

• French Mediterranean coast
• Spanish Mediterranean coasts (costa brava to costa del sol)
• Andalusia (costa de la luz)
• Portugal (Algarve)
• Portugal (Atlantic)
• Douro Valley
• Northern Spain
• French Atlantic coast

and ended in Les Sables d'Olonne. (vakantio.de/laik-a-dream)

The place is known every 4 years as the starting point of the famous sailing regatta Vendée Globe, one of the toughest single-handed sailing races around the world.

Here our tour ended last year because various circumstances drove us home.

And because unfinished business is not done, we're starting again. After all, Brittany, Normandy, and the Dutch coastal region also want to be explored.

It's already itching in my fingers when I see the motorhome in front of the door in blue sky and sunshine and could start immediately. What's stopping me -

The time window is set - it starts on April 17th. We have given ourselves a travel duration of 5-6 weeks. Based on the experiences from last year, this seems appropriate for this route.

But: a quick check with Google maps - along the coast with side roads and sights, the distance adds up to 2000 km - a tour.

Oups - more than I thought.
