Chapter 4.4 - Now really the last day in Quy Nhon

11:13 AM

I wake up. Need to go to the toilet urgently. You can probably guess why...

Last night, when we returned to our room, Ole caused a bit of a commotion. He thought he was robbed by room service. After 30 minutes of careful recalculation, he says, 'No, everything's fine'

I go to the homestay owner and ask him if he can help me book my bus tour to Da Nang tomorrow. Everything on the website is without online booking. Only calls directly to the driver. No problem. After a little back and forth, everything is booked. It starts at 5:30 PM for 220k. I'm excited.

12:45 PM

Breakfast, we have Pho Bo. Soup with beef. Very tasty. Then refuel a bit, buy Banh Mi and off to today's destination. We waited out the rain well, now it's very windy but dry.

3:05 PM

We went swimming again. We finally arrived at what I call 'Big Buddha Beach'. We turned into a small sandy side street looking for the beach. A local picked us up and escorted us to the beach after a short attempt at communication. Very kind.

Unfortunately, the gatekeeper doesn't let us in with the food we have. I still smuggle a bottle of water in my backpack.

We're all hungry now.

6:50 PM

We drove back and stocked up again at the wholesale market. I went to the ATM again, this time no fees paid. Now let's take stock. Later we want to go out to eat. Maybe BBQ or hot pot. We'll see.

8:44 PM

We ordered chicken to our room. It was quite tasty. As I wash my hands, I suddenly smell cigarette smoke. A man next door is spitting and coughing loudly. There is a pipe in the toilet that we have always wondered where it leads. Apparently, it's a ventilation pipe and all the rooms have one. And our bathroom is connected to Rotzer's bathroom. Why else would we smell the smoke? Probably the guy just lit a cigarette while showering.

What an asshole...

We're playing Durak again. Last evening for the three of us together before we split up again.

After a few rounds, Peer has to take care of some business as he does every evening. I take a nap. I wake up from opening a beer can. I say half asleep to Ole, 'Come on, give me one too.' Peer is still busy after an hour.

Ole comes up to my level.

We talk about the upcoming game releases in year 23 and about old games that we liked.

12:51 AM

After a few rounds of analog Durak, it's time for bed.
