Chapter 4.2 - Sleeping in Quy Nhon

11:53 AM

I am slowly waking up. By the way, I am sleeping on a plateau above Ole and Peer. The two brothers are sleeping in a double bed. The Alley Homestay is quite cozy. I will drop off my laundry later. Then I will go to the hairdresser. Finally, I will go to the beach. The weather forecast doesn't look good. But I will remain optimistic for now. Quy Nhon is completely empty at night, unlike Saigon.

Apparently, this place is THE hotspot for Vietnamese vacationers. We haven't met any foreigners so far. I'm getting ready to go to the hairdresser...

Unfortunately, it's only for women.

Since it's almost noon, I will postpone it until tomorrow.

Now we want to rent motorbikes. First, I drop off my laundry at the reception. We get 3 bikes with automatic transmission. The helmet is too tight for me.

A few minutes later, we meet Julian and get some food. Banh Mi and popcorn. Shoutouts to my cloud :) Afterward, we drive to Ky Co beach. Need to check the fuel. Peer is almost empty, so we need to find a gas station first.

2:30 PM

After refueling and heavy rain, we arrive at a big gate.

To get to the beach, we have to pay 150k per person, like an entrance fee. It goes steeply through the mountains. My fuel is also running low.

We reach a parking lot. The man asks for 10k per motorcycle to park it safely.

In front of it are colorful buses. Basically our shuttle to the beach.

3:53 PM

Just came out of the sea and showered. Such a great feeling. Finally swimming. None of us wanted to leave. We sit in a bar and drink beer. Play a little bit of Durak.

40 minutes later, a man hurries us up. We should go to the shuttle. It's probably closing time now.

6:00 PM

We are back in the city. We sit at a small stall. I don't know what they have to eat here yet. But it smells delicious...

We have rice noodles with salad, some pork, and very tasty sausage. We treat ourselves to another summer roll because the portion is a bit small.

8:06 PM

Back at the hostel. After dinner, we were looking for an ATM and especially rice wine. Our search led us to a kind of Metro supermarket. Unfortunately, they don't have the wine there either.

We return to the homestay with Korean wine. It starts raining again. Perfect timing

Shower, shave, cut fingernails. Now it's time to relax.

12:34 AM

I'm lying in bed. We went to a bar and had cocktails and some food. Just winding down the evening.

The probable bar owner gave us some tips for beaches to visit tomorrow. Very nice woman...
