Today we drove from the westernmost to the northernmost point of our journey, from Làtrabjarg to Ísafjörður. In between, there is a lot of scenery, a few sheep, a few seagulls and eider ducks, occasional waterfalls and mainly dirt roads. With few potholes that are really deep on the paved road...
Highlight number 1 is the swimming pool in Reykjafjarðarlaug, because there is nothing else, nothing at all except wasteland and this hot spring that feeds the swimming pool, a hot pot and operates the flush of the public toilet.
Highlight number 2 is, of course, the mighty waterfall Dynjandi and its smaller sub-waterfalls. You can walk about 100 meters in altitude from the parking lot and get very close to be sprayed by the spray, very impressive.
Ísafjörður is surprisingly big and lively for Westfjords standards, there is even a pizzeria with American pizza - in the past few days we have eaten fish well and abundantly.
