After the author was out of action for a day, we were able to set off as planned to the ferry to Hirtshals. Monique drove most of the way.
Since we still had some time, we went to the beach. We had been a few kilometers away a few years ago in the summer. It was very windy and actually it was nice there too. Only the dead animals (birds and probably porpoises) were not so nice.
Nevertheless, we continued on to the ferry where the loading took a very long time. We were only able to move into our large cabin shortly before departure. Unfortunately, this was next to the crew's busy break room. The door slammed shut every few minutes. That did reduce my sleep a little. At least mine.
The journey was very quiet and everyone was able to have breakfast. Moritz only had a quick breakfast though. Sausages, bacon and eggs + rocking and his appetite was gone.
After the ferry we went almost directly (after 2 wrong turns) through tons of tunnels to the campsite where we were early and were able to get a nice spot.
The sun was persistent and even now at 9:50 p.m. it was still blazing. But it was supposed to drop to 9 degrees. It was difficult to dress appropriately. Moritz was finally able to fish and Monique was also briefly in the water.
