Gran Sasso National Park

.. this morning at half past 6 woke up for the first time with an alarm clock! .. in order to avoid the rain predicted for noon as much as possible .. we confidently took the cable car from 1130m to 2135m above sea level .. and then continued on foot on rocky paths to 2388m to the Rifugio Duca degli Abruzzi for a view break .. then 2 hours further along the ridge to La Portella at 2260m and from there back to the mountain station .. passing snow and breathtaking views over the wide panorama, which can hardly be described, so magnificent ..

In the afternoon we rolled further towards Vieste, with an overnight stop in Campomarino in front of Conchiglia Azzurra ..
