After Roger Federer narrowly missed us on Rottnest Island with his selfie, we made our way to Perth - Our activities on this day were limited to returning the car and packing everything up again for the flight, and resting a bit before heading to Sydney. After about four hours, we arrived in Sydney. Another 3 hours of time difference. Slowly we are approaching the date line. After a relatively tiring journey by train and tram, we reached our hotel directly at Darling Harbour and immediately set out for our first exploration tour. Darling Harbour is a very busy district with many restaurants, bars, and shopping centers. In the evening, you can stroll along the promenade and go out to eat according to your taste. On New Year's Eve, we took a ferry through the bay of Sydney - under the Harbour Bridge with a direct view of the Opera House. Definitely a very special moment on our trip. After seeing how crowds of people had already made their way to the Harbour Bridge in the early afternoon to secure the best spots for the fireworks - up to 1.6 million spectators were expected - we decided to enjoy the fireworks in Darling Harbour after an excellent Indian dinner. It was also something special - a sound and light fireworks display accompanied by modern pop music. Now that we have already welcomed the year 2018, all that remains is to wish you all the very best, much joy and happiness, and good health.
