Now comes the last stop in New Zealand: Queenstown. On the way from Wanaka, you have a great view of the city. Located on Lake Wakatipu & between mountains, it is in front of us. Before we return the car at the airport, we make a detour to Arrowtown. A small town that used to be a gold rush town. Today it is very touristy but still nice to walk through the small streets, along colonial houses, and then enjoy a portion of hot fish & chips. So once we arrive at the hostel, it starts to rain. Well, hopefully it will be better tomorrow. In the evening, we join the long queue at Fergburger to try the famous burger. Unfortunately, I receive the wrong order, but it still tastes good! But not the best burger in the world for us (we fell in love with the Green Curry Burger in Chiang Mai)! The next day, of course, nothing is better. What do you do in a city like Queenstown when it rains? Hikes like the Ben Lomond Hike are probably not possible. But we still dare to go outside. Stroll through the shops a bit and realize once again that New Zealand is incredibly expensive. Then we discover a cinema and buy 2 tickets for the evening. Luckily, our hostel has a computer, so we can continue planning our trip to South America. In the evening, we have a gigantic pizza at a pizzeria - yummy, it's delicious. After that, we watch Kong - Skull Island in a small cinema. We have fewer pictures of this because the weather was really dreadful.
