The journey started early in the morning at 5:45am from Waterford to Swindon. The tired faces of the tour group revealed that we were probably all cursing the early alarm clock.
The first stage took us to the ferry from Rosslare to Fischguard. We were excitedly hoping for dolphin sightings, and in fact our expectations were "almost" fulfilled. A few playful waves made us forget about seasickness for a moment.
After the crossing we continued our journey, this time to Cardiff. A short walk took us past the imposing water tower that rose majestically on Mermaid Quay.
Our guide gave us 40 minutes to explore the pedestrian area. But ten of us, including me, had a common mission: to declare war on the subjugation.
Our hotel today, the Marriott in Swindon, promises a culinary highlight in the evening. After breakfast has been replaced by a mini lunch box, I'm already looking forward to the hearty dinner, which will hopefully satisfy our hunger. Who knows, maybe a second dolphin attack awaits us tomorrow morning.
