There is a new momentum in our 'everyday life'... Adrenaline in the canyon. We haven't laughed and had so much fun in a long time. Everything was somehow perfect... it was warm enough for the 3 hours in the neo, our guide was very attentive, the group of 4 people was great, the weather was optimal, and everyone was pretty brave (I really struggled with the 6m jump as the only one). But the young Spanish couple showed us more than respect... ,-)... A great day!!!
An Atlantic low brought us back to the coast and there we found a small pilgrims' hostel that had space for 6 vans. It had everything a nomad's heart needs during an Atlantic low - a roof over our heads and a warm shower.
And now a few drizzly impressions... This time from Braga, a pretty city with many sanctuaries. One of them was set outside on the mountain, so you had a great view over the city. Since we had nothing to confess, we continued on, quickly visiting a castle (which is also part of the mandatory program in Portugal). The Portuguese see Guimarães as the birthplace of the nation, where Portugal's first king, Alfonso III, was born and won the fight for independence against the invaders from Castilla y León. We were able to watch the whole thing with a special 360° glasses - cool. Now we are completely exhausted in our wonderful albergue and enjoying the evening with a Portuguese red wine - they are really delicious. :-)
