Day 4: Rainy Sunday

Yay, my stomachache is gone! It rained all day outside today and I didn't feel like doing much. So I did some OLS exercises diligently and took it easy for the rest of the day. I took a longer walk through Le Raincy, where I also saw my future school, Lycée Albert Schweitzer.

Here in Le Raincy, masks have to be worn everywhere, which seemed a bit strange to me this afternoon when I encountered three people during my walk.

In France, supermarkets seem to be open on Sundays. Today, I went to one where I could only pay at a self-service checkout and only with a card, even though I could always pay with cash there in the past few days. But apparently, on Sundays, that's not possible! Also, everyone crosses the street at a red light, and the entire evening program starts later than in Germany. Both the timing of dinner and the start of a movie: prime time is not at 8:15 p.m. like it is for us, but at 9:15 p.m.

My exchange student Noémie from 10 (!) years ago reacted to my Instagram story of the Eiffel Tower. She is currently in Paris as well and asked if we could meet. Let's see if that happens in the next few days!
