Day 4
Visited Highlights: Yas Waterworld
What to do at +39 degrees Celsius??? Right: Water park!
Our favorite water park, Yas Waterworld, welcomes us today with an empty parking lot. There is no one else here for the park opening, except for another car in the parking lot? What's up this autumn???
Well, never mind 😊
We buy tickets, get the free towels, and head to the wave pool. Which sun lounger should we choose??? There are about 100 sun loungers in front of us - all empty. It's hilarious, unbelievable!!!
Alone alone - that seems to be the park motto of this holiday.
We splash in the wave pool (no waves yet) and then go directly to the water slides. After sliding down all of them, I'm exhausted. Every time (in our case), we have to carry the large double tube up the stairs to the slide tower. It's really tiring and sweaty in +40 degrees Celsius with no waiting time. I need a break! We treat ourselves to a refillable drink cup and while I relax on the sun lounger, the kids play in the wave pool. Then, my daughter and husband try surfing on the wave next to it. They both do well. My husband even gets to try the big wave. He respects it! After one try, he gets a nasal rinse and decides to stick with the small wave 😊
In the afternoon, a few more bathers arrive, but the park is still far from crowded.
Until closing time, we relax in the kids' splash area, slide down various slides, float in the lazy and rafting river, and occasionally try our luck on the big tube slides. The problem here is that you need a minimum weight to ride the "Falcon" and "Funnel" tube slides. Our son doesn't want to go, and with our daughter, we don't have enough weight as two adults. After waiting forever on the tower, we give up multiple times - there is simply no one to ride with us. Today, we manage to join a group of vacationers twice and ride with them, but that's it. Well, at least we could slide down everything else as many times as we wanted. You have to look at it positively - water park almost to ourselves, no waiting, no lines! Yeah!
