Hello to Gili Trawangan

Whakaputaina: 13.01.2020

Hello and Moin to Germany,

our alarm clock rang at 5:40 am today because we had to leave the hotel at 6:30 am. So we got ready, packed up our remaining things, and quickly had breakfast. At 6:45 am, we went to the harbor because today it was bye bye Bali and hello Gili Trawangan🤩 for us! The Gili Islands are also known as the 'Maldives of Indonesia' because there are so many incredibly beautiful beaches with white sand and turquoise water here.

After a good hour of driving, we arrived at the harbor, waited for our boat, and then we were soon on our way. Unfortunately, we had a bit of bad luck with the weather, so we had to sit inside the boat and couldn't go on deck. But after a good 1 and a half hours of crossing by speedboat, we had amazing weather again! 🌞 Since we arrived on Gili Trawangan so early, we couldn't check into our rooms yet. That's okay, Mareike and I spent the time on the white sandy beach with turquoise water and caught up on the sleep that we missed last night. 😴

At 2:00 pm, we were finally able to check into our rooms. Shortly after, we went to the pool with the others and relaxed there. In the afternoon, Mareike and I went out again because I needed after sun, and on the side, we checked out some stores, but didn't find anything.

Back at the hotel, we freshened up and at 7:00 pm, we went to a barbecue restaurant with the tour group. We sat with the guys again and decided to go further and have something to drink. During dinner, Epul told us what else we should definitely do in Bali.

Now we quickly went back to the hotel to freshen up. At around 10:00 pm, we want to take a closer look at the clubs and bars here. 🤓🍻

I wish you a nice day!

Greetings from Gili Trawangan, your Jojo 🥰
