Whakaputaina: 10.07.2024
10.7.2024 Barcelona
Shortly before 9:00 a.m. I left the ship and took the cruise shuttle bus into the city, the final stop being the "World Trade Center". There I bought a day ticket for the hop-on hop-off bus from "Barcelona Bus Turistic". I had to wait a while until a bus from this company arrived.
Then the city tour began. The "Red Line" went through areas that I had mostly already visited the day before.
I got off at Plaça de Catalunya and changed to a bus on the "Blue Line", which covers northern Barcelona. We drove past the largest football stadium in Europe and some of the buildings designed by the architect Gaudi. Shortly after 12:00, I was back at Plaça de Catalunya and set off on foot to the meeting point for my booked tour.
The "tapas tour with food, wine and history" started at 1:30 p.m. at the same place as the ghost tour from the day before. The first meal was served at the meeting point, a bar, including vermouth. The second meal was served in a non-public "test kitchen". Extremely delicious, this time with wine accompaniment.
And here, to my great regret, I had to cut the tour, which was supposed to last three hours, short after just one hour. I had to be back on the ship by 3:30 p.m. Did I overlook this when booking or was the time on land subsequently limited? I don't know. Nevertheless, I still had fun with the unfinished tour and was back on board in good time.
Under the title "Midnight Sun Dreams", a pair of artists performed almost unbelievable feats of strength.
