Whakaputaina: 23.10.2016
Our last night in L.A is over and today we headed towards San Francisco. On the almost 500 km long route we still have some smaller intermediate destinations ahead of us and one of them was the huge roller coaster park Six Flags Magic Mountain.
From the beginning, it was one of our bucket list MUST DO's to go to one of the huge American amusement parks and this wish came true today.
After a good 30 minutes drive, we reached the park without much traffic and arrived safe and well-rested!
We needed a lot of energy at the first glance at the huge roller coasters today because roller coaster is not the same as roller coaster!!!!
The Americans are known for their spectacular rides and we could hardly wait to finally get on board and put our stomachs to the test.
From lying down to standing up to spinning gondolas and catapult shots at nearly 70 m height, everything was included today and we had to take the occasional break in between to avoid ending up in the toilet with a green face after 2-3 rides.
We especially liked X2 and The Full Throttle, but the rest was just great and it was extremely fun, even if it sometimes took us a little more courage.
After what felt like 300 rides, it was slowly getting dark and it was time for the most exciting and scary part of the day or night, because from 7 p.m. on, the theme park was transformed into a pure terror and horror city and there were zombies and other creatures everywhere.
The horror mazes and haunted houses were also really cool and there were some great jump scares, although most of the time I sent Miro ahead and walked behind with my eyes closed :D
Halloween is definitely in American hands, we can't compete with that.
On the way back to the car, we encountered a few monsters and then drove super happy but also extremely tired towards Santa Barbara, where we had booked accommodation via Airbnb with Danielle for one night.
So now close your eyes and see you tomorrow.
Because after a short night, it will continue.
