After my skydive, the next shock. I actually hiked for over 7 hours!
We hiked through Tongariro National Park to the little brother of Mount Doom, down again, past lakes, and 10 km back to the valley.
We started at 5:20. We arrived in the park at 7 a.m. and finally finished around 2:30 p.m. Both at the end of the walk and at the end of our strength.
But it was a beautiful view because we were above the clouds. When we reached the summit, we had a great view of both valleys. The lakes had different colors. One was green, a second one dark blue, and one in a beautiful turquoise color. Mount Doom was really impressive with its black/red rock.
But at noon the sun came out so strong that now I have sunburn on my back, shoulders, and forearms again. Despite applying sunscreen four times(!).
It was an exhausting but great trip that I would only repeat with improved fitness :D I'm curious to see how much muscle soreness this exertion will still cause.
Unfortunately, not all pictures that I would like to show you are loading. I will add them to the post when I have the opportunity.
Have a great day everyone😊
