After a pleasant first night, it's time for breakfast. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. From sweet to savory, everything is available. A beautiful view and the morning sun rays bring the holiday feeling.
After a hearty breakfast, we took a stroll through the resort and enjoyed the morning by the pool. And for our son's sake, we then went to the water park with a whirlpool. We stayed there wonderfully until lunchtime 😁.
After a satisfying lunch, we went to our room and rested a bit when suddenly we woke up from a shaking bed. Since we hadn't had anything to drink 😉, we looked outside the door and found that it was an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 that happened in Crete.
Since the weather in the afternoon was not inviting for swimming, we decided to take a trip to Afandou.
We went through the eucalyptus avenue, with its tall eucalyptus trees, to the famous Seven Springs of Epta Piges. From there, we wanted to take a walk to the Seven Springs Waterfall, which can be reached through a small tunnel. But we quickly decided to take the detour around it, where we had to climb up a rope, which looked like fun 🤣and was easier than expected. A bit disappointed, we stood in front of a waterfall that looked more artificial than natural and didn't cause a big "WOW" effect. So we took some photos as memories and continued walking back to the starting point.
When we arrived at the parking lot, we slowly walked along the sea back towards the hotel. The weather was still not great, so we relaxed on our room terrace until dinnertime.
After a very delicious dinner buffet, we got some tasty drinks and ended the evening with a really successful evening show.
