Step by step...

Whakaputaina: 18.02.2019

...to the manager and into self-employment. Michel as a manager? Tasks and priorities change quickly, and so does the job title when there is little staff;). So, let's talk about what happened in the last few weeks:

Since the president, Debbie, had to go to Australia for an indefinite period of time for personal reasons at the beginning of last week and then handed over all the information, materials, keys, and documents to Michel, he turned out to be an excellent manager and organizer in addition to being a trainer. He even enjoyed taking on more responsibilities. He delegated the training sessions to Josh and the girls in order to lighten his own load and focus fully on women's training and related matters. Everything went very well, and in addition, television and radio came to learn about all the news and thank all the sponsors. Because today they are heading to Cambodia, India, and Sydney for three weeks. To finance beach volleyball, sponsors are constantly sought after through all channels, because the trips are complex and expensive, as there is truly nothing close by from Vanuatu. Now it's exciting to see how the Pata/Toko team will perform. "Fingers crossed"

In addition to Michel's manager role, I am also getting closer to my self-reliance. Last Wednesday, my business plan was approved, and on Thursday, I was able to apply for my business license. I can pick it up on Friday and then use it to change my visa. That's the final step. To avoid paying another hefty fee, you have to leave the country. Since I'm flying to Sydney on March 4th anyway, it will be delayed by another week, but that fits in as well. In the meantime, there's plenty to do, like making contacts with the private hospital and clinic, building a Facebook page, preparing reports and paperwork, and planning the concept, etc...

So, it won't be boring. We will also change apartments again. Tomorrow, we're heading to Pango Beach with all our belongings. The new apartment is much smaller and located a bit outside. But it's completely quiet there, and there's always a nice breeze. The noisy street and the stuffy heat in the city made the current apartment a bit uncomfortable, even though it was otherwise very nice. But this is also another step forward, and we can save a lot of money in addition. I'll quickly take care of the move before Trudy arrives on Wednesday to set everything up in advance. Michel has already arrived in Sydney. Time will surely fly by now... See you soon.
