After it rained cats and dogs last night, the sun has returned with the day. After breakfast, it was time for jungle exploration. Unfortunately, many animals are still hiding due to the rain, so not much came into our sight today as well. But we did see a sloth, large iguanas, many birds, and insects - especially mosquitoes, which we felt too. In the garden of our lodge, we found crabs and a frog, monkeys and a raccoon. But the nature is incredibly diverse and indescribable.
... and then the rain came back briefly, just enough to make us soaking wet.
After a break, we go to the Caribbean beach and to Tortuguero town, or village?
Unfortunately, the turtle beach is without turtles at this time of the year. Only the large holes in the ground show that something happened here. No swimming break, as the sea here is incredibly dangerous. The current and the many animals, some of which are inadvertently swept from the rivers into the sea ... for example, crocodiles ....
The village, see for yourself ... Caribbean.
