"A small step for mankind, but a big leap for travel group no.komisch"
And this journey was definitely a big leap for us, in a positive direction. The experiences we have gathered will now always be with us. But unfortunately, our journey has already come to an end, after just two weeks. Above all, we will miss our host families, but also Nokomis, and believe it or not, we will even miss school. After school, we came together to enjoy the last day together once again. Thanks to Miss. Shalter, a farewell party was organized for us with food, games, and gifts. First, we ravaged the buffet, and then we conquered the dance floor. Fun games like Limbo and the attempt to perfect the Macarena dance followed. Of course, the phone was a constant companion, and countless pictures were taken, including with the T-shirts we received as a farewell gift in the evening. The party dragged on into the night, and the first tears were shed. Slowly, we became aware that we really have to leave tomorrow. Unfortunately, that evening, we also had to say goodbye to those we had met at school. Snapchat names were quickly exchanged, and the first photo was already shared, and then the evening came to an end, and no one wanted to be the first to leave.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the host families, Miss Shalter, who organized so much, Mrs. Hinz, Mrs. Teutloff, and the two schools that made this trip possible for us. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to meet these wonderful people and to gain experience.
