After breakfast, we took a short trip to the Huka Falls, where 220,000 liters of water flow down per second.
Then we had a quick visit to the lava glassblowing studio, with a colorful garden full of glass sculptures and a demonstration workshop.
In the afternoon, we went on a small cruise over Lake Taupo with a wonderful view of Mount Ngauruhoe, the highest mountain on the North Island. We made a stop at the impressive Maori Rock Carvings and went for a swim in the 14°C cold lake. It was very cold, but we had to do it.
