Day 7, from Telde to Maspalomas

Today is Day 7, Friday, February 10, 2023, we had a wonderful day and a great tour. Andrea said: the headwind was particularly great today.

We have a completely different problem, since yesterday evening I haven't been able to upload any pictures, which is actually the appeal of a travel blog. It may be due to the exhausted capacity of 500Mb of the free software, I am also willing to upgrade, but it doesn't seem to work. Or maybe I just can't do it. Maybe we'll switch to a different travel blog provider.

Back to today's tour, we started at 10:00 a.m. and had breakfast in a very nice café. We then set off south with our bicycles, using small country roads, always staying above the airport, watching the approaching rain clouds suspiciously and somewhat distrustfully, but we managed to outpace them thanks to our incredibly high speed 😂😂😂

In the end, we had a sunny day with 23° Celsius. We once again got to know and discover great landscapes on Gran Canaria, beautiful little villages, charming towns, and in the afternoon we arrived at our long-awaited destination for German and English tourists after almost 50km with 750 meters of altitude and a lot of headwind, Playa de Ingles, a wonderful high-rise settlement 😉.
We are treating ourselves to a hotel here for the next three nights, enjoying a beach vacation and possibly taking bike trips from here, having a good time. And while most hotel guests at the pool bar are warming up for Friday night karaoke with a gin and tonic, we are resting our tired bones on pillows 🥴🥴🥴
