Trip towards the sea...
My father wakes me up very early in the morning and we have a small breakfast in the hotel. Since it's our last day as a group, we have to enjoy it even more. In the old riverbed, which is now equipped with trees, football fields, and beautiful flowers, we walk towards the sea for about an hour. After 45 minutes, we arrive at the 'Ciudad de las Artes i Ciencias'. There are several very abstract but beautiful buildings with different things inside. Some buildings are museums, another one is a beautiful aquarium or a palm avenue. These buildings are decorated with ponds, signs, and plants. On one of these ponds, my grandmother and I rent an electric paddleboat and ride around for 10 minutes. It's a bit slow, but it's still fun. In front of the aquarium, we notice that there is a huge line... so we decide not to go in. Another part of the group is already inside and shows us beautiful pictures afterwards. After individually visiting these buildings, we walk for about another half an hour to the harbor and thus to the sea. When we arrive at the beautiful harbor restaurant, we meet two acquaintances of my father again, who enjoy a hearty lunch with us. They bring many homemade gifts. My father's colleague even wrote a book especially for me... because they last saw me a few years ago and were very happy to see me. After the big lunch, we walk along the long beach and even go into the 17 degree cold water. Thanks to the heat, it doesn't feel as cold and you warm up quickly. Since we had a proper meal at lunchtime, we only go to a small pub in the evening and eat some small dishes that we share. However, we can't resist getting some gelato on the way home. Unfortunately, our last day as a group is already coming to an end. Everyone is a bit sad and already feeling goodbye blues...
