Hello, greetings and challooooo
Long time no hear, right..... we have had turbulent days behind us, let me tell you 🙄🙄
Get ready for something big - this blog will be endless 😂😂
After the last update, on Saturday we didn't do anything, except checking out in Hoi An, wandering around and chilling. At 4pm we took the shuttle into the city, had pasta pesto at a real Italian restaurant and a large pizza for each of us for the long bus ride. Guys - that saved our lives. And the whole bus was envious of us🙋🏼♀️☺️🤤
Well - we had a 13-hour drive ahead of us, until we arrived in Nha Trang. After driving for 3.5 hours, we finally had a break at 10 o'clock - we almost peed our pants - seriously🤦🏽♀️ Then, in the middle of nowhere, we even ran into the German couple from our hotel at the rest stop😂 Vietnam seems small🤦🏽♀️
We finally arrived in Nha Trang at 5:15 am - and then had to waste time until 7 am... we wanted to continue to Da Lat because of the storm. Since it was pitch dark, raining, and we had already found a new friend (unfortunately it was a cockroach🤢), we became more and more tired and aggressive😂
When we finally started driving to Da Lat at 7:30 am, we were happy. At that time, we still didn't know what kind of 4-hour hell ride awaited us.
The storm the night before caused countless landslides, on the road along a pass, there were entire rocks on the road, parts of it were flooded and the bus was almost falling apart. Lara was sleeping until she was awakened by the vibrations. The roads are an absolute disaster here anyway - and on top of that the bad weather.....🙄🙄 To make matters worse, Jasna had to pee really badly after 2.5 hours. But the good bus driver helped her and stopped immediately.
When we finally arrived in Da Lat after 4 hours, we were just glad to have arrived alive. We checked into the hotel and got the Honeymoon Suite. Unexplainably - but there are two double beds here. Good for us - but what the hell are two double beds doing in a Honeymoon Suite?🙄😂
Well - we thought it couldn't get any worse. We thought...
All in all, we had the worst and most depressing day of our trip.
After 4 hours of continuous rain and wind - a never-ending search for food - which was admittedly really shitty - we were just pissed off and grumpy.
We stayed at the hotel that evening and surrendered to our misery 🙄
On Monday we got up at 7 o'clock, we had booked a "Mr. Rot's Secret Tour". Mr. Rot is the hotel owner. We went with a couple from England, two Dutch people, and a couple from Berlin - and had an incredibly amazing day.😍 Exactly what we needed after the worst day ever.
The first stop was a cricket farm (yes - crickets). And YES! We ate crickets. Tastes pretty good - until you think about the fact that you just ate an insect with a head and disgusting legs 🤮🤢
Well - we said we'd give it a try..
Then we went to a silk company. And now we know how silk is made from a larva. Great, isn't it🙋🏼♀️😂🤙🏽
Then we went to a coffee plantation and then to the Elephant Waterfalls. 30 m high and 40 m wide. In the past, before the French came, elephants used to live here and the rocks here look like elephants - hence the name 💡 ☝🏽 We are happy to enlighten you - no problem 😛
After that, we had lunch at a place of worship and then Mr. Rot came. Guys - what a crazy guy. He grew up in the outback - with the Highland people. In a poor family with 14 children. He was adopted by someone from the city - lucky for him - and was able to study and is now a hotel owner. In addition, he is also a singer and hairdresser. He even gave everyone a haircut - Jasse even had a cucumber in her hair😂😂😂
Then we played 100 drinking games (without alcohol) - but we never had so much fun in these 45 minutes 😂😂 unfortunately we can't upload videos - but hey. Even you would laugh so hard 😂
Then we finally arrived at the Secret - unfortunately we are not allowed to write about it on the internet because it is not entirely legal🤷🏽♀️😂 sorry for that - but we experienced so much there..😂
At 6pm we were completely filled to the top with information and went for a beer and dinner with everyone. At 9pm Mr. Rot picked us up at the restaurant and we went to a bar.
I don't think we have ever seen such a crazy bar like this one. Tunnels everywhere, rocks, hidden rooms and so many sticks😂😂 we were just overwhelmed.
We played the drinking games from noon with fabric - and it was even more fun 😂😂
We went to bed at 1 o'clock - completely exhausted.
Today, Tuesday, we got up at 7 o'clock again. We had a motorbike tour with our private drivers😛 just for us - VIP💸
Oh peoples - what can we say - we had continuous sunshine, an incredible landscape, and so much information and experiences 🙄😂 now we have a headache 🤦🏽♀️😂
We went to temples, a lake, a monastery, a coffee plantation, a mushroom cultivation station, chicken village, the same waterfalls again (this time with amazing weather), a weasel coffee farm, rice wine production, and the Crazy House.
That would be way too much to go into everything now - especially since our hands are starting to hurt from typing...
Sorry not sorry. 😂
Pictures will follow.....
We went for a coffee, now we're gonna shower and chill 😎
We'll continue to Ho Chi Minh tomorrow evening 😛🙋🏼♀️
