Whakaputaina: 20.11.2019
Today we headed from St. Francis Bay, where we enjoyed an excellent breakfast at 'The Sands', in the direction of Shamwari Game Resort.
We were able to cover most of the distance on the highway and arrived at our accommodation for the next 3 days/nights around 1:00 pm, after a short drive on the dirt road.
We were greeted by resort manager Nina, who took care of the administrative part with us, and then we were led to the restaurant where a light lunch was waiting for us, as our room/bungalow was not yet ready.
After lunch, the waiter took us to our home for the next day, the luggage was already there. We received the newest bungalow, which was completed in May 2019. From the bed or the terrace, you have a clear view of the resort. Today, animals also came by, which we could observe from the terrace.
We were expected at the restaurant at 3:30 pm, our guide Jason greeted us, and we could have a small snack or drink. Then, at 4:00 pm, we set off on our first game drive. There were four of us, we saw many animals, the two cheetahs, the elephant, the giraffes, the zebras, and two white rhinos stood out.
We were back around 7:00 pm, we went to change quickly to enjoy the Braai with Jason as our guest at the table.
