For planning, we can already say the following, all accommodations are somehow a townhouse.
It can happen that shortly before the start of the trip you will be informed: we are closing and your booking is invalid.
Yes, I get little shock moments there.
It becomes funny when you quickly look for something else. Only to realize that you have double booked for the wrong date, because everything is called townhouse.
Be that as it may, we have discovered everything in time. The double booking was cancelled again.
But we still need one more accommodation. But we will definitely find something else.
Now we are at the airport and waiting for boarding.
Arriving in Dublin at the airport, we had to look for the ticket sales counter for the bus tickets and then the bus stop, but all in all no problem.
When we arrived at our accommodation (Derwent Lodge), we were warmly welcomed by Margret. It is a fairly new B&B and there is a slightly larger pub directly across the street.
After a short break, we set off and explored Dublin a bit with the aim of getting fish and chips for Egg. We found them at Brannigans, which I can highly recommend. You meet nice people and the food is great, the beer too. 🙂
On the way back, we decided to give the pub opposite the accommodation a chance and found ourselves in the middle of loud Irish people watching the quarter-finals of the European Cup in rugby. Clear victory for the Irish team. What else.
There is not much more to report for the first day.
