Delayed entry because we had no wifi. 😇
Unfortunately, our snorkeling trip didn't work out. It rained again. So we spent the day eating and sleeping. Luckily, the weather improved in the evening. We had a date with Harry and Kate from Australia, who are siblings on vacation together in Indonesia. We met the two of them the night before at a bar. So we went out together again and drank, laughed, and danced until the bars closed.
The next morning, we left for the restaurant at 8 o'clock to have a proper meal before the speed boat departs. Luckily, it wasn't raining, so we stayed dry on the way to the harbor. The speed boat normally takes 1 1/2 hours to travel from Gili T. to Padangbai in Bali. Shortly after departure, it started raining heavily and windy. Unfortunately, it got worse and high waves added to it. When the speed boat stopped in the middle of the sea because the engines overheated, we thought we were going to die. The boat was like a toy in the high waves and everything was rocking back and forth. Because I felt sick from the fear and the waves, I sat down at the back of the boat next to the open side. That way, I could watch the crew fixing the engines with a slotted screwdriver, cable ties, and duct tape. Thank God, we made it to Bali alive. After almost 4 hours of travel, we've had enough of boat rides. It took another 2 hours by taxi through the countryside to get to the airport. There we chilled until our departure at 0:25.
